Well sorta suppose to be able to accelerate pea size slug to relativistic speeds making it the most deadly anti space ship defence wearpon as of now.
Once aimed a and ready to fire operator's cabin gets enveloped in stasis sheild as to compensate for enourmous shock that accures during firing...

The operator wouldn't need a stasis shield if it's an accelerator cannon. An accelerator cannon would simply use electromagnetic pulses along the length of the barrel to project the round into orbit, which would result in little to no recoil. The only place there would be any sort of recoil would be at the end of the barrel due to air being pushed aside at Mach 20 or so...then again that could be solved by creating a small shield at the end of the barrel, which would allow for there to be a vacuum inside of the barrel, which would then allow the round to travel even faster. The shield could be released once the round prepared to fire (it would leave the barrel faster than air could enter the barrel).

Just my two cents worth...
