uve... never... heard.. of... avatar???? watch it!!! either way.. i never commented on the pic.. its a great drawing.. the main part of the pic is extremely well done.. although the person im assuming to be the "last prophet" seems a lil oddly dressed.. but then again its ur choice.
while the background is great i think you could have left the people out and given it more of a sense of desolation.. then it really fits the theme of prophet and ancient evil spirit/cave thingy.

whats avatar... genre wise its in my opinion a hybrid of anime and some other styles... what sets it apart is i suppose its pacing.. very fast.. and the whole series lasts 61 episodes.. and its also in english.. no dubs or subs.. it was made in english..

background story
-> the world of this cartoon comprises of four nations named after the four elements (water earth fire and air) with each nation having people who can bend the respective elements to their will.. the events of the story told in the cartoon are the result of a war that was started by the fire nation a 100 years before..
the only person who could have stopped it was the avatar... an individual who has the ability to control all four elements and whose duty it is to maintain the balance of the world.. and when the fire nation began their war a 100 years ago.. he vanished... and people believed that the reincarnation cycle was broken..

so the story is basically how two teenagers find the avatar who happens to be a child and who still hasnt mastered all the elements.. and who needs to because the fire nation is planning on finishing the war by burning the rest of the world to ashes..


---> my opinion is that its a fantastic story which i have trouble seeing how any child under the age of 10 would be able to fully comprehend(let alone partially).. each character is complex and just so well created.. and what i told above is like just 10% of avatar.. theres a lot more in the story.. (by the way.. it doesnt pick up a lot of pace until the first 5 episodes finish.)
